Jesus is our Peace.
Jesus is Peace. He is our Prince of Peace.
Because Jesus lives in us, as believers, His Peace also lives in our spirit man but our soul needs to receive His Peace on a daily basis.
We are to fit our feet with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace. What does this mean and how do we do this?
Isaiah 55:12 “You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands” (emphasis added).
I believe “feet” symbolizes us moving forward in our walk with God. God wants us to be led, or to move forward, by His peace; to walk in His peace. He wants us to make decisions from a peaceful mind and heart and not from an anxious mind or out of anxious emotions. As we are led by peace, we will make right choices and right decisions. When we move out of God’s Will, we will experience a lack of peace.
Please don’t be led by your emotions as this will bring turmoil to you. The Bible tells us to be led by the Holy Spirit.
God wants us to pray about our decisions before we make them and then wait until He instructs us. Our problem is that we think we are not hearing from God but when God tells us it is time to move, we will hear Him. If we don’t hear Him the first time, He will speak to us again and again. If He is not speaking, then it is not time to move. Hold your ground and do not move forward until you hear from Him. He will always lead you by His peace. In other words, you will have peace in your heart that you heard from God and know how you are to move forward. Waiting upon God for His instructions will protect you from the enemy’s tactics.
The enemy’s tactics are to get us to rush and run ahead of God so that we will make wrong decisions and suffer the con-sequences of those wrong decisions. They can be decisions that will cause you financial and emotional distress, etc. It could be rushing into a relationship or a marriage that isn’t of God. It can be making a wrong career choice, etc. The enemy will rush you and try to make you think that you will miss out if you don’t do it now. He will bring fear to get you to move quickly. If you feel rushed or fear, then do not move. Stand your ground against the enemy’s tactics. Let peace be your umpire.
